My dog’s favorite frozen treat recipe

Here’s a simple and tasty frozen treat recipe for your dog that’s easy to make and sure to keep them cool and happy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (unsweetened)

  • 1 ripe banana

  • 1/4 cup peanut butter (unsweetened, xylitol-free)

  • 1/2 cup water or low-sodium chicken broth (for added flavor)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Banana: Peel the banana and mash it up in a bowl until it’s smooth with a few chunks left for texture.

  2. Mix the Ingredients: In a blender or mixing bowl, combine the mashed banana, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, and water or chicken broth. Blend or stir until smooth and well-mixed.

  3. Fill the Molds: Pour the mixture into silicone molds, ice cube trays, or small paper cups. If you’re using paper cups, make sure to place them on a flat surface in the freezer.

  4. Freeze: Place the molds or cups in the freezer and let them freeze for about 3-4 hours, or until solid.

  5. Serve: Once frozen, pop the treats out of the molds and serve to your dog. These treats can be stored in the freezer for several weeks.

Tips:

  • You can add extra flavor by mixing in some finely chopped fruits like strawberries or blueberries.

  • For an extra fun treat, try making the frozen treats in fun shapes or adding a small dog biscuit inside before freezing.

  • Always monitor your dog while eating frozen treats to ensure they don’t overeat.

These frozen treats are a perfect way to keep your dog cool and give them a nutritious snack on a hot day!
