How to Make a DIY Floral-Pressed Mobile Phone Case

Creating a DIY floral-pressed mobile phone case is a fun and creative way to personalize your device while incorporating natural beauty. This project allows you to preserve real flowers and encase them in resin or a clear phone case for a unique, customized look. Here’s a step-by-step guide to making your own floral-pressed phone case.

Materials Needed

  • Clear mobile phone case (hard or soft plastic)

  • Pressed flowers or leaves

  • Tweezers

  • Mod Podge or clear-drying craft glue

  • Small paintbrush

  • UV resin or epoxy resin

  • Mixing cup and stir stick (if using epoxy)

  • UV lamp (for UV resin)

  • Fine sandpaper (optional)

  • Gloves and protective workspace

Step 1: Select and Press Your Flowers

Choose small, thin flowers and leaves that will lay flat on the phone case. Flowers like daisies, baby’s breath, or violets work well. If you haven’t already pressed them, place the flowers between parchment paper inside a heavy book for 1-2 weeks, or use a microwave flower press for quicker results.

Step 2: Arrange the Flowers on the Case

Lay out your clear phone case and experiment with different flower placements. You can go for a minimalistic look with a few petals or a full floral pattern. Use tweezers to carefully position the flowers before applying any glue.

Step 3: Secure the Flowers with Glue

Once satisfied with the arrangement, use a small paintbrush to apply a thin layer of Mod Podge or clear craft glue to the back of each flower. Press them gently onto the phone case and let them dry completely to prevent movement during the resin application.

Step 4: Apply the Resin Coating

For a smooth and durable finish, apply a layer of resin over the dried flowers. If using UV resin, apply a thin coat evenly over the case and cure it under a UV lamp for a few minutes. If using epoxy resin, mix the components according to the instructions and pour a thin layer over the case. Let it cure for 24 hours in a dust-free area.

Step 5: Finishing Touches

Once fully cured, check for any uneven spots. Use fine sandpaper to smooth any rough edges if necessary. Clean the case with a soft cloth before attaching it to your phone.

Tips for Best Results

  • Use bright-colored flowers, as some may darken slightly when preserved.

  • Ensure the resin is evenly spread to avoid lumps or bubbles.

  • Work in a well-ventilated area when using resin.

With this DIY floral-pressed phone case, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind accessory that reflects your style while showcasing the beauty of nature.
