Materials:

  • Plywood or hardwood boards (oak, pine, or plywood for affordability)
  • 2×4 lumber (for the desk frame and legs)
  • Wood screws
  • Wood glue

Use a circular saw or table saw for precise cuts.

Step 3: Assemble the Desk Frame

  • Attach the apron pieces to the legs using wood glue and screws.
  • Ensure the frame is square by using a carpenter’s square.
  • Use clamps while drilling to keep everything in place.
  • If you want additional stability, add diagonal braces.

Step 4: Attach the Desktop

  • Place the desktop board on top of the frame.
  • Secure it using wood glue and screws from underneath to avoid visible screw heads.
  • Use clamps to keep the top flush while the glue dries.

Step 5: Sand and Finish

  • Sand all surfaces with 120-grit sandpaper, then with 220-grit for a smooth finish.
  • Apply wood stain for a natural look or
