Manually:

  1. Open Evernote (Web or Desktop).

  2. Create a new note or open an existing one.

  3. Copy your content (e.g., notes, articles, or web clippings).

  4. Paste it into the note and give it a relevant title and tags.

  5. Choose or create a notebook where the note should be archived.

  6. Click Save or Done.

Drag-and-Drop Files:

  • You can also drag PDF, DOCX, TXT files, or images directly into a note.

2. Using Evernote Mobile App (iOS/Android)

  1. Open the Evernote app.

  2. Tap the “+” button to create a new note.

  3. Type or paste your note content.

  4. Optionally, tap the tag icon to add tags.

  5. Tap Notebook to select where to archive it.

  6. Tap Save.

3. Automate Archiving (Optional)

If you’re regularly archiving notes from emails, documents, or another app:

  • Use Zapier, IFTTT, or Make (Integromat) to:

    • Automatically create a new Evernote note from Gmail, Google Docs, or other services.

    • Schedule regular backups from specific folders or cloud apps into Evernote.

4. Email to Evernote

If you have an Evernote Professional or Personal plan:

  1. Send an email to your unique Evernote email address.

  2. Use the subject to title your note.

    • Subject: Meeting Notes @Work #Q2 archives it to the “Work” notebook with “Q2” tag.

To find your Evernote email:

  • Go to Settings > Account Info > Evernote Email Address.
