To archive old Instagram stories, you can follow these steps:
On the Instagram App (Mobile):
-
Open Instagram: Launch the app on your smartphone.
-
Go to Your Profile: Tap on your profile picture in the bottom-right corner to go to your profile.
-
View Your Story: Tap on your profile picture at the top to see your active or previous stories.
-
Archiving Stories: Instagram automatically archives all of your stories after they expire (24 hours). So, if you’re looking for stories from the past, they will already be in the archive.
-
To access your archive: Tap the three horizontal lines (menu) in the top-right corner, then tap Archive. Here, you’ll see all your stories, as well as posts, depending on what you choose to view.
-
On Instagram Web (Desktop):
-
Go to Instagram Website: Open your browser and visit Instagram.com.
-
Log In: Enter your credentials and log in.
-
Go to Your Profile: Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
-
Access Stories: Unlike the mobile app, the desktop version doesn’t display archived stories. However, all your archived stories are still available via the mobile app.
Download Your Instagram Story:
If you’d like to download and keep your stories on your device:
-
Tap the Three Dots: When viewing an archived story, tap the three dots in the lower-right corner.
-
Save to Camera Roll: Select Save Story to download it directly to your phone.
This method ensures that you have a record of your stories even after they disappear from your profile.
